NOW IT’S OFFICIAL: FINLAND’S TALLEST STEEL SCULPTURE IS COMING TO SAARIJÄRVI
“Pallo hallussa” is a work of art made of Corten steel that stands over 17 meters tall. The artwork is illuminated and lights up as darkness falls in the evenings. According to available information, there is no other steel sculpture in Finland taller than this one. The sculpture is located right next to Highway 13 near the village of Linnan in Saarijärvi, about 8 km east of Saarijärvi.
“Thework depicts courage and faith in the power of working together,”says Kari Alonen, the Jyväskylä-based sculptor who created the artwork.
